This page explains how Best Small Venture chooses, writes, and corrects its idea guides.

What we publish

We publish small-venture ideas that a single person or a very small team could realistically start, with attention to startup cost, skills, equipment, how the idea earns money, and first steps. An idea is not published as a recommendation simply because it is popular or profitable for someone else.

How we write

Guides are written in plain language, with the practical details a reader needs to judge an idea for themselves. Where a cost, price, or earning figure depends on place, supplier, season, or experience, the guide says so. We do not present estimates as guarantees.

Corrections

If a guide contains an error, or an idea becomes out of date, we correct the guide itself. Significant corrections are noted in the guide where practical. Report errors through the Contact page, with the guide link and what is wrong.

Independence

Coverage is not for sale. A business mentioned in a guide does not buy a favourable write-up, and a guide does not imply endorsement of any product or service. If sponsored content or advertising is ever added, it will be clearly labelled as such, and it will not change how guides are written.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may assist with research or drafting, as they do on many sites. Every guide is reviewed by a human editor before publication, and the editor is responsible for what is published.
