A Digital Marketplace for You, for the World
If you’re looking to create a decentralized marketplace for Non-Fungible Tokens, you’ve come to the right place. In this tutorial, we will show you how to do it in less than five minutes!
We will be using curios.com as our example, but the process is similar for any other NFT marketplace. Let’s get started and Setup NFT Marketplace!
Why NFT’s?
If you’re here, you probably know something about NFTs. NFT marketplaces are a new and emerging trend. We’re seeing an increasing number of projects creating platforms for artists to sell digital assets, pieces of art, and other tokens that have limited or no resale value.
The idea behind NFTs is that they are non-fungible — they can’t be divided into smaller units — similar to how cryptocurrencies are unique and non-divisible. For the vast digital age of augmented reality, NFTs are a crucial fixture of the new world we inhabit.
Let’s Get Things Going
A website makes making a marketplace in the Crypto space straightforward and fun. The platform is called Curios.io and it allows you to customize and build your own marketplace that fits your niche. It’s geared for artists and businesses alike and is increasing in popularity.
Curios were launched in August 2018 by an experienced team of developers, entrepreneurs, and crypto enthusiasts. The platform became very popular in the crypto community because it has an easy-to-use interface, interesting content, and many different projects made by the people. It’s like a blockchain Etsy.
First of all, create an account on curios.com. Once you’re logged in, click the “Create a New Listing” button in the top right corner of your screen.
Next, enter the details for your listing. For our example, we will be creating a marketplace for NFTs. Be sure to include the following information:
– Customize the Name of the Listing
– Category (e.g. “Artwork”)
– Description of the listing
– Price per token
Once you’ve entered all the information, click the “Create” button.
Now it’s time to add your tokens! In order to do this, we will first need to create a token contract. For our example, we will be using the ERC-20 standard. If you’re not familiar with this standard, we recommend checking out this tutorial from CoinMarketCap.
Once you’ve created your token contract, copy the address and paste it into the “Token Contract Address” field on curios.com.
Next, enter the number of tokens you want to sell in the “Quantity” field.
Finally, click the “Add Token” button.
Congratulations! Your listing is now complete! You can view it by clicking on the “Listings” tab in the top navigation bar.
