Globally, we spend billions upon billions on advertising each year, but how much of that is money well-spent?
Spending on Advertising: 5 Key Ways to Advertise Your Business
It’s important that the money you’re spending on advertising is worth it — what are the best ways to advertise your business? It can be difficult to know when there are so many, but we’ve outlined five of our favorites below.
If you’re a business owner, keep reading on to find out what they are.
1. Use Social Media
It might be obvious in this day and age, but one of the best ways to advertise is to use social media.
We’ll use Facebook as an example, but the process is similar for the majority of other social media platforms too.
Create a Facebook page for your business, and make sure your contact information is visible. You can post photos and videos to engage with customers — even posting live streams — and promote events too.
You can pay to advertise on Facebook too — it’s actually one of the most popular advertising platforms out there! There might be over 500 million members, but you can choose your target audience based on various demographics.
2. Email Marketing
This is a great way to keep in the minds of customers and offers what feels like a personal touch too.
Email marketing doesn’t need to be overly expensive, and it tends to be cheaper than sending things by mail. You can even tailor your message to each customer if time allows it, and you can see instant results — you’ll be able to find out how many people opened your email or clicked on a link to a product, for example.
3. Online Reviews
Another way to increase your online attention is to make the most of online reviews.
From Facebook to Google to more review-focused websites like TripAdvisor and Yelp, customers can leave reviews to let potential new customers know how their experience with your business went.
People are more likely to give your business a chance if they see other positive reviews, while even negative reviews can help you, as they give you a chance to see where you can improve.
4. Utilize Google
Google dominates the market, so it makes perfect business sense to make the most of what it offers.
Make sure that your Google Business Profile is created and verified — you can do the latter with a free Google My Business account.
Once you’ve done this, your business will appear in local search results, as well as Google Maps and the knowledge panel too.
The higher you rank on Google, the more you’ll be promoting your business.
5. Programmatic Media Buying
This involves the use of automated technology when buying and selling ad inventory, rather than using more traditional methods of advertising digitally.
One such type is RTB meaning real-time buying. This is essentially an open auction — prices are determined in real-time via an auction that’s open to all advertisers and publishers.
It’s generally fairly cost-effective, so can be a good choice when you want to advertise your business.
