ClassPass, a New York based gym class subscription service has raised $12 million in a Series A round led by Fritz Lanman and Hank Vigil with participation from existing investors David Tisch, Kal Vepuri, Shana Fisher, and others.
ClassPass is a highly effective alternative to a normal gym membership. Being ClassPass member, one enjoys greater variety and engagement fitness at a lower price than if they were to book classes individually on their own. With a $99 ClassPass membership, you get access to the best boutique fitness classes in your city. The membership has over 1,000 classes available including cycling, pilates, yoga, strength training, dance, martial arts, and more.
ClassPass members can get unlimited classes per month as they’d like, but the only restriction is that they can only visit the same studio 3 times per month.
Founded in June 2013, ClassPass membership program is becoming popular day by day. Having so many gyms and studios onboard, ClassPass makes working out more accessible for anyone and so far over 500,000 reservations have been observed at 1,000+ different classes in the New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston markets.
