Calendly is a calendar concierge service. Its features include a calendar to enhance productivity, schedule meetings, link colleagues, create a personal dashboard, and seamlessly sync calendars.
These features make Calendly a popular option among users, however, the features offered by Calendly are more limited than some of the alternatives on this list.
Let’s take a look at some of the popular alternatives to Calendly.
Calendly is a web application that helps people schedule meetings with each other. It has several features including setting up recurring meetings, viewing all scheduled meetings, and creating new ones.
Calendly is one of the most popular calendar management software solutions available today. But there are plenty of alternative calendar management solutions out there that offer far more functionality than Calendly.
Some businesses have found Calendar to be just what they needed, but others wondered whether there was a better solution.
There are so many Calendly alternatives out there, but which ones would be best for your company? We’ve narrowed down the list by ranking them according to their popularity in our community.
Ten-to-Eight includes features that most other providers offer at no additional cost, including SMS reminder services, online payments, and group bookings. It also provides access to its own reporting tools.
You can choose between three different tiers for your SMS notifications. The free version has some limited features but you can easily add additional ones later.
With Ten-to-Eight, you can customize links for any URL you want. I like the link customizability offered by Ten-to-Eight. I don’t think there is anything similar to Calendly.
The main features that ten-to-eights provide in their free plans include:
- Automated e-mail and SMS
- Branding customization
- H.I.P.P.A. compliant
- Payment Processing
- No-Show Prevention
- Custom Reports
Ten-to-eight is a good option for scheduling meetings without integrating with other applications.
Acuity has an excellent user interface, and even though they don’t offer a free version, their features more than makeup for that fact.
Squarespace incorporated the ability for clients to pay via Acuity, which alone makes the service worth the cost of the most basic package, and they’ve even added tipping! So, I don’t need to spend any extra hours trying to figure out how to use their system.
Acuity is in the high-priced range; even its basic package is slightly cheaper compared to Caledndy’s Teams package. It has good integrations and is easy to use.
While Calendly offers a variety of features for scheduling meetings, Acuity doesn’t offer any specific meeting management tools.
Appoint.ly offers an intuitive user interface, a free plan, a premium plan, and a business plan. Their service is easy to set up and use, and they offer a free trial period so you can see how it works before committing. They also make it easy to upgrade your account if you decide you want additional features.
Although the free plan offers limited functionality, it can be used to manage your events. You can add multiple calendars, create reminders, view your schedule, and sync your data across devices. The paid version allows you to set up recurring events, track expenses, and customize your experience.
It has a simple form that is directly labeled. However, it lacks the customizability I get with Calendar. The page that the user sees is plain and consists of blocks with the different events, followed by an open window showing the times available for each type of appointment.
The form placement for collecting basic information, such as name, email address, phone number, etc., is ideal.
Chili Piper is a scheduler and lead generation tool designed specifically for small to medium-sized businesses. It has a per-user license option so we can only pay for the reps who actually use it.
All the packages include CRM integrations and reports, but there are additional add-ons available for an extra fee. For example, Chili Pipers include email campaign management and SMS reminder services.
The integrations are simple and effective. In addition to being able to integrate directly into Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, we also support integration with Salesforce and HubSpot. We’ve found that these three systems work very well together.
The Instant Booking Package from Chili Piper is similar to the Individual packages Offered by Calendly. One major difference between the two is the suggested times in e‑mails feature in Chili Piper. By linking a booking request directly to an email, clients get a direct booking offer without having to go through any additional steps.
With doodles, you can control which days and times a user gets notified about an event. Because of this, they’re best suited for enterprise-level environments where there might be multiple events happening at once.
Doodle is great because it allows you to schedule meetings with multiple people at once. Gone are the times when you had to search through your email to find a suitable meeting slot.
The pricing models are centered more around solutions than people. Pro is ideal for individual use, while Team is best for small business teams. Doodle integrates with Microsoft Teams and Outlook so you can customize your experience. It has an unlimited number of customizations.
Doodle has been used for years by government associations and even some medical practices to help people schedule appointments. Some case study highlights show that they have a lot of useful information on how to set up an account, and that’s something I would appreciate if Calendly did better – having lots of helpful information on how we can set up our accounts.
HubSpot Meeting is an online scheduling solution that integrates with popular calendaring solutions. It allows you to schedule meetings with others using its own web interface.
Hubspot includes the below features in its meeting scheduler.
- Website widget
- Shareable links
- Calendar Sync
- E-mail Sequences
- Group Meetings
You need to be signed up for at least one of the free packages if you want to use HubSpot Meetings. It works best when used in conjunction with other relationship management software.
Part of the Office365® package is Microsoft Booking. A basic scheduling application that easily integrates with other services such as Outlook and SharePoint. The integration with the Microsoft team helps with scheduling tasks as well appointments. Microsoft gives us complete control over the entire experience.
With Microsoft Bookings, you get customizability for free but need to pay extra to enable customer booking capabilities.
Bookings offer a lot of functionality, and if I used Microsoft already, Bookings would be an excellent add-on. One-click features make it extremely easy for customers to book their own appointments. Plus, I can install Bookings on up to five different devices for one user.
Nylas is an email client, but it’s not really meant to be used by individuals. It’s designed to connect to different services and allow developers to customize its UI.
With Nylas, you can create an entire customer experience by coding everything from scheduling, booking, and routing right into the app itself. It can be customized so that you get notified when something goes wrong, who gets notified, and even how long the wait time is for each step.
With Nylas, I can choose which emails I’d like to send out, so I don’t need to manually type each email address into the app. And because I don’t have to pay anything upfront, I can test out Nylas without signing any contracts. However, I don’t like having to sign up for a free account before using Nylas, so I chose to purchase a subscription instead.
Compared to Nylas, Calendly is extremely easy to set up and manage. Calendar Billing for Nylas vs Calendly
With its free plan, Setmore lets you customize the booking page with the ability to add images, videos, and links to social media accounts. It also sends reminders to attendees before meetings start and after they end. And with its click-to-meet feature, Setmore brings up a web browser window for people who want to use their own software to connect to the call.
Unlike Calendly, SetMore focused on optimizing its mobile app and has better visibility on smaller screens. I prefer using the free version with up to four users. With Calendly’s free plan, it limits each user to just one person.
With Setmore, we can easily hire new employees without having to worry about the IT infrastructure. We also integrate with popular social media and payment platforms.
It’s easy to use and available for both Android and iOS devices, similar to Calendly. Additionally, the recurring appointment feature is useful when I schedule multiple simultaneous follow-up meetings for clients.
ThryV is not just a calendaring app; it is an integrated CRM. It manages the complete customer experience from beginning to end, including managing their engagement with you. Unfortunately, Calendar only partially explores this.
very focuses exclusively on the online bookings part of the customer s journey through a company. Its back-end functions can be programmed to power most businesses. ThryV integrates only via Zapier®, which allows for an extensive range of possibilities.
Staff members can use ThryV on their phones, like Calendly. One difference is that I get to decide who has access to what functions. In addition, the client portal makes it easy to change any information after the customer books the appointment.
ThryV doesn’t offer a ton of programmable functionality; however, Calendly is much simpler to set up and uses fewer lines of code than ThryV. Calendly requires minimal programming knowledge.
TimeTap makes it easy for clients to book appointments with you by giving them access to their own personal accounts where they can create new appointments, view old ones, and change their preferences. It also allows you to schedule recurring appointments so you don’t need to keep track of when you’ve already scheduled an appointment.
With TimeTap, you can set up different break schedules for each location and even have separate meeting rooms. You can also hold virtual meetings inside the app.
My travel times are unique to Time Tap. They take into consideration my habits when planning meetings. For example, if I usually spend a few minutes preparing for the next meeting, they will adjust accordingly.
Double bookings and losing clients due to lost timeslots are alleviated by the waitlist which allows for multiple clients to be accommodated at once. Additionally, the waitlist keeps everyone up-to-date via automatic emails.
Both Calendly and YouCanBook. I offer similar workflows. They both include scheduling follow-up and SMS reminders.
You Can Book Me helps teams connect their calendars so they can see who else is available when booking meetings. It also makes it easy to create a Zoom Room for every meeting.
You Can Book Me also allows for customized forms to be used when collecting booking information. Calendly doesn’t allow for any kind of form of personalization.
Zoho Bookings provides three different packages, with one being completely free. The free package is sufficient for startups or individuals who need to manage their own bookings, but the features offered by the paid plans are necessary for teams.
Zoho offers group meetings but they’re only available in their premium packages which cost the same as Calendly. They don’t allow for redirecting a customer to another URL.
With Zoho Bookings integration, you can easily integrate Zoho Bookings into any application, making it easy for you to automate bookings across multiple channels. You can also use Zoho’s platform to create automated processes between different apps.
We’ve got a lot of great features to offer our customers, including:* A custom domain name (with unlimited subdomains)* Unlimited email addresses per user* Customizable landing pages* Customizable forms* Customizable emails* And much more! We’re happy to customize any of these plans to fit your needs.
Conclusion: Calendly Alternatives
You either love it, or you really dislike it. It s known as Calendly. CalenDly still remains a solid choice for any company looking to reduce costs and increase efficiency in scheduling meetings. It s hard to recommend an alternative to CalendLy because it is so good in what it does.
There are many different types of calendar applications available, but only a few of them will give you the features and ease of use that Calendar does. So, I’ve tested several of them. And most of them aren’t too bad — I mean, some of them are pretty good.
Which one of these calendar apps should you use? It’s difficult to tell because each has its own unique set of features that makes it perfect for certain types of tasks.
However, if we were to offer a suggestion, it would be to test the service out before buying it. What may suit one business may not suit another, so don’t restrict yourself to just one choice! Try it out and find out if it fits your needs. Just remember to do your homework before committing to any purchase. After all, there is no substitution for doing your research.
